In 2019, on a lush peak of Hong Kong Island, a filmmaker took his first steps. Jimmy began by filming his closest friends as they ran the 24 Hour Race against slavery, capturing myriads of unique moments and marking the beginning of a lifelong search to understand the world through a lens.

What's your background?
I studied Media Industries and Technology at Northwestern University, where I honed both my creative and strategic thinking. My focus was storytelling, whereby through visuals, structure, and systems I awakened to how media can move people and shape ideas.
What areas do you specialize in?
I work at the intersection of cinematography, writing, and media strategy. From camera work to crisis communication, I bring a holistic understanding of both creative production and the industry dynamics behind it.
What tools do you use?
I'm fluent in the Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, XD) and skilled with industry-standard gear like RED and Canon cinema cameras. My toolkit also includes 3D animation in Cinema 4D, lighting design, and creative direction. Whether we’re shooting, editing, or building from scratch, I bake in quality and efficiency constantly in my works.
Can you handle everything in-house?
It depends on the scope of the project. My experience empowers me to vertically handle multiple aspects of a production. Additionally, I also thrive in collaborative environments and with creative teams. I'm comfortable leading when needed, adapting when things shift, and bringing in trusted specialists at key moments to elevate the final outcome.
Who are you outside of work?
When I’m not on set or behind the edit, you’ll probably find me curating a hyper-specific Spotify playlist, organizing a group hangout or picnic, or caring for stray cats. I am an English native speaker, conversational in Spanish, and I have a foundation in German. For me, creativity can't end when the project wraps because it’s a way of living.
